We process personal data that you provide to us: Google Account and e-mail (which you use fo register in Mobile Application. We process your data when you register via Google Account or e-mail. To register, you can use your Google Account, and also create a account using your email. When creating an account, you indicate your email, username and password. After registering, you can optionally fill out your profile, such as - Full name, Job title, Company name, date of birth. This data is not stored on our servers. We also process your data in cases where you need to contact our customer service or contact us through other channels (for example, through social networks or our e - mail). Why do we obtain your consent and how can it be withdrawn?

The following types of personal data can be processed only on the basis of your separate consent: recording on a memory card and in the internal storage of the device. You may revoke this consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, you will not be able to use any services or features that require the processing of personal data that we have collected or used under a separate agreement. Periods for storing personal data:

Your personal data is stored for as long as you have an active account. If your account is deleted, personal data will also be deleted from the database, unless this data is necessary for legal, marketing and fraud prevention purposes. Personal data required for the above purposes will be stored for a period of 7 years or for a longer period established for the storage of such information/data if required by applicable law. After the end of the above period, we will anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you personally. Deleting the Mobile application on your device does not lead to the deletion of your personal data.

Personal data transmitted by the seafarer to the Crewing Company.

  1. Introduction. This Privacy Policy describes how we process and protect the personal data of users who use the Crewing Companies Tab to submit an Application Form to crewing companies.

  2. Collection and use of personal data. Our Crewing Companies tab does not collect or store personal information about seafarers. All data entered by the user in the application form, including personal data, passport data, certificates and personal photo, are sent directly to the email of the selected crewing company.

  3. Responsibility for data processing. We are an intermediary providing a platform for data transfer between the seafarer and the crewing company. Because we do not store personal data, we are not responsible for its protection or processing once submitted.

  4. Data transfer. When using our application to submit Application Form, all data is transmitted directly to the email of the crewing company specified by the user. We do not store copies of this data on our servers or in any other form.

  5. Data security. We take all necessary measures to ensure the security of data transmission from the user to the crewing company. However, the security of data after transmission is the responsibility of the crewing company receiving the data.

  6. By user intention and agreement we can transfer some user data to allow user crew applications to all Companies in Crewing Company Section

  7. In Step 4 Application Form when you apply mark 'Agree to send this form' and push 'Send' you are agreeing and understand that WE are not collect or store personal information about seafarers. All data entered by the user in the application form, including personal data, passport data, certificates and personal photo etc. are sent directly to the email of the selected crewing company.

  8. When you send your (previously completed, ready file on your phone) Application Form to a company, you agree that you are submitting your personal data to this company and grant your permission for them to store this data.

My Documents

The 'My Documents' section in the Marine Survey app allows users to store and manage their personal documents, including photos, files, and other materials, directly on their device. Below are the key points regarding how this feature operates:

  • Local Storage on Device. All documents uploaded or saved in the 'My Documents' section are stored locally on the user's device. Marine Survey does not collect, store, or access any files or documents that the user manages through this section.

  • No Data Transmission. The documents stored in 'My Documents' are not transmitted to any external servers or third-party platforms. Marine Survey does not have the ability to share, upload, or transfer any of the user’s stored documents or data to other entities.

  • User Control. The user has full control over the documents stored in 'My Documents'. This means users can upload, delete, or manage their files as needed. The app does not automatically sync or back up the content to any external systems or cloud services.

  • Privacy and Security. Since the documents remain on the user’s device, Marine Survey does not have access to any personal information or content stored in 'My Documents'. Users are responsible for ensuring the privacy and security of the files they choose to store in this section.

  • No Data Collection. Marine Survey does not collect or process any data related to the content stored in 'My Documents'. The app does not track or record any information about the documents, photos, or files that the user stores locally.

Partners

The 'Partners' section in the Marine Survey app is designed to facilitate access to third-party maritime-related services, such as video courses and other educational resources. In this section, users can explore courses offered by our partners, BeMPC and Estumar. Below is a detailed breakdown of how this section operates and our privacy practices:

  • Access to Third-Party Content. The 'Partners' section provides users with links to external platforms (e.g., BeMPC and Estumar), where they can browse and purchase video courses relevant to their maritime profession. These courses are hosted and sold directly by the respective third parties. Marine Survey acts solely as a mediator, offering access to these platforms through our app.

  • No Data Collection or Storage. Partners section in Marine Survey app does not collect, store, or process any personal data related to users' course exploration, purchase activities, or interactions with the third-party platforms. We do not have access to any personal information such as usernames, passwords, financial data, or other details involved in transactions carried out on these external websites.

  • Transaction Responsibility. All transactions, including the selection, purchase, and management of video courses, are conducted directly on the third-party platforms (BeMPC and Estumar). Partners section in marine Survey app does not participate in the financial processes or maintain any records of user purchases. Users are advised to carefully review the privacy policies and terms of service of the respective platforms before making any transactions.

  • More Information Button. Each video course listed within the ;'Partners' section includes a 'More Information' button. By clicking this button, users are redirected to the respective partner's website for more detailed information and the option to purchase the course. Marine Survey is not responsible for the content, pricing, or terms presented on third-party websites.

  • Third-Party Privacy Policies. When navigating to BeMPC, Estumar, or any other third-party platform via Marine Survey 'Partners' Section, users are subject to the privacy policies and data protection practices of those external platforms. We recommend that users review these policies to understand how their personal data may be used and protected when interacting with third-party services.

  • No Purchase Records. Marine Survey does not keep records of courses viewed or purchased through third-party websites. All purchase history, course access, and related information are managed by the third-party service providers. Google Drive Backup

The Marine Survey application includes an optional feature that allows users to create backups of specific calculator data, including but not limited to the Draft Survey, Ballast Calculator, and Oil Calculator. This functionality is provided solely for the convenience of the user and is entirely optional.

Backups are performed only upon the user’s explicit action and are stored exclusively on the user's personal Google Drive account, using Google’s secure API services. At no point does Marine Survey, its developers, or any affiliated parties access, store, transmit, or otherwise process the content of these backups on external servers or within our own infrastructure.

We emphasize the following:

  • User Control: The initiation and management of backups are entirely under the user’s control. No automatic or background data transfers to Google Drive occur without the user's prior authorization.
  • Data Privacy: The content of the backups remains fully private and accessible only to the user. Marine Survey does not collect, index, or analyze any information contained within user backups.
  • Security Compliance: The backup process is conducted using Google Drive’s secure integration, in accordance with Google’s data protection and API usage policies.

By using the Google Drive backup feature, users acknowledge and agree that Marine Survey acts solely as a technical facilitator and assumes no responsibility for the content, security, or availability of files stored on third-party platforms such as Google Drive.

Use of the Passage Weather Tab

The Passage Weather tab in the Marine Survey app provides users with access to information on weather conditions and cyclone movements at sea, based on data from a third-party resource — the Passage Weather website. By tapping on the Passage Weather tab, users are redirected to an external website that is not part of Marine Survey and operates independently. Marine Survey is not responsible for the privacy policy, terms of use, or data collection practices of the Passage Weather website. We recommend reviewing the Passage Weather privacy policy for information on how your data is managed and protected on that platform. The integration with Passage Weather is solely for user convenience, and Marine Survey does not collect or transfer any data related to interactions on this external web resource.
